The Service Design Netwerk Nederland is a foundation which provides an independent platform for anyone who interested in the most up to date knowledge about service design.

Goal

The goal of the Service Design Netwerk Nederland is to facilitate knowledge sharing between people about and the experiences with Service Design in the Netherlands and beyond.

Activities

To reach our goal we have initiated some activities:

• Service Design Thinks – a yet to be started meetup composed of several presentations followed by a lively discussion.
• Service Design Labs – a yet to be started meetup composed of several presentations followed by a lively discussion.
• Service Design Drinks – a monthly informal gathering where people share their latest service design stories under the enjoyment of a refreshing beverage.
• Service Design Talks – a reading circle where a (new) service design related book is discussed.
• Servicedesignnetwerk.nl – the hub where we keep the Dutch service design community up to date with the latest and greatest developments.

History

The network started in 2008 when a few Dutch Service Design pioneers came to meet and envisioned a platform that would facilitate the sharing of knowledge and expertise among a broader audience. This idea evolved in the Service Design Netwerk Nederland. We are greatly inspired by the international Service Design Network, the UK Service Design Drinks and more recently servicedesigning.org.
